Doiwala, Uttarakhand– Swami Ram Himalayan Vishwavidyalaya (SRHU) has started a three-year B. Sc. (Hons) Data Science course under the Himalayan School of Science Technology (HSST). The university took this decision in view of the demand of the students and the industry. Limited seats are available for this course.
The experts at the college support the fact that one of the most valuable resources in the world today is data. They say that pursuing a career as a data scientist can be a great option for students.
Scope of data science
Data Science is one of the most in-demand subjects in today’s time. The major reason is the extensive usage of smartphones and the internet.
Data has been a goldmine for organizations all across the world. MNCs are able to analyze the preferences of the customers with this data only.
As per several media reports, the World Economic Forum’s Future of Work Report 2020 predicts that by 2025, the job with the highest demand and growth will be that of a Data Scientist.

Three years degree course
The B. Sc. Honors Data Science course at SRHU will be a semester-based three-year degree course. 12th pass students can apply for admissions.
