Avon Cycles, a prominent bicycle manufacturer in India, has officially announced the renewal of its partnership with the Punjab Kings, a team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The collaboration, initially established ahead of the 2020 season, will persist as both entities join forces once again for the highly anticipated 2024 edition.

Onkar Singh Pahwa, the Chairman and Managing Director of Avon Cycles, expressed enthusiasm about continuing their sponsorship with the esteemed cricket team for the upcoming season. Pahwa acknowledged the Punjab Kings for embodying the true spirit of sportsmanship, resilience, and excellence. He emphasized Avon’s commitment to upholding its legacy as a leader in bicycles, sports, and fitness.

Joint Managing Director of Avon Cycles, Rishi Pahwa, shared his delight in partnering with the Punjab Kings for the second consecutive time in the 2024 season. He conveyed excitement about supporting the highly anticipated cricket team and looked forward to contributing with full vigor and strength on the field.

Mandeep Pahwa, Executive Director at Avon Cycles, expressed joy in aligning the company’s values with the Punjab Kings, referring to them as the ‘lions.’ He emphasized the shared commitment to excellence on the field and wished the team the best for the upcoming season.

Satish Menon, CEO of KPH Dream Cricket Pvt. Ltd, the entity owning Punjab Kings, expressed his delight in having Avon as a partner. He highlighted the pleasure of associating with a Punjab-based brand and appreciated Avon’s decision to continue the partnership.

Established post-independence by the Pahwa Brothers, Avon Cycles has been dedicated to providing affordable mobility solutions to the common man. The bicycle manufacturing entity has also been a proponent of promoting health and fitness.

Looking back at the 2023 season, Punjab Kings, owned by Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia, Preity G Zinta, and Karan Paul, had a challenging season, finishing eighth on the points table with 12 points. As the franchise aims for its maiden IPL trophy, led by Shikhar Dhawan, the team is expected to implement new strategies to achieve success in the upcoming competition.
