Ludhiana(Punjab) India: In a noteworthy development, the recently inaugurated Avon Newage Cycles unit, strategically positioned near Neelon Canal, has clinched the prestigious Gold Certificate in the Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) certification for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME). This achievement propels Avon Cycles Limited into an exclusive league, comprising only eight units within the city, to secure this esteemed recognition for its unwavering commitment to superior product quality.
The ZED certification, encapsulating the ethos of “zero defects-zero effects,” stands as a testament to Avon Newage Cycles’ unwavering dedication to manufacturing high-end bicycles of unparalleled quality. Attaining the Gold Certification necessitated a comprehensive overhaul of the unit, stringent adherence to pollution standards, and the implementation of various enhancements across its production processes.
With an investment of approximately Rs. 100 crores, Avon Cycles has established a modern high-end cycle plant in this unit. The facility is poised to export bicycles to Europe, targeting an export volume of around 200,000 cycles to Europe by March 2024 through Avon Newage

Rishi Pahwa, the Managing Director of Avon Cycles, shared his insights on this milestone, stating, “Avon Group initiated Avon Newage a few years ago, specifically for the production of high-end bicycles. With an investment of approximately Rs. 100 crores, Avon Cycles has established a modern high-end cycle plant in this unit. The facility is poised to export bicycles to Europe, targeting an export volume of around 200,000 cycles to Europe by March 2024 through Avon Newage.”
