- CII Ludhiana Zone Embraces Change: Lokesh Jain Takes the Helm as Chairman for 2023-2024
Ludhiana(India): In a significant development during its Annual Session for the year 2023-2024, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Ludhiana Zone has elected Lokesh Jain, Partner at T K Steels Ltd, as its Chairman, and Randeep Bhogal, Proprietor of Bhogal Sales Corporation, as its Vice-Chairman. The unanimous decision was made during the session held in Ludhiana, marking a new chapter in the leadership of the prestigious industry body.
The transition of leadership was officially conducted in a ceremony where Mr. Rishi Pahwa, Immediate Past Chairman of CII Ludhiana and Joint Managing Director of Avon Cycles Ltd, handed over the chairmanship to Lokesh Jain. Mr. Pahwa took the opportunity to congratulate the newly elected leadership and highlighted the major initiatives and accomplishments undertaken by CII Ludhiana Zone during his tenure.
Amit Thapar, Immediate Past Chairman of CII Punjab and President of Ganga Acrowools Ltd, commended the efforts of CII Ludhiana Zone in effectively addressing policy issues with the government and organising a series of successful events and sessions throughout the year.
Expressing gratitude for the trust placed in him, Lokesh Jain, the newly elected Chairman, extended his thanks to the members and assured them of CII Ludhiana Zone’s commitment to working for the welfare of the industry and the region. He outlined his focus areas for the upcoming year, emphasising concrete steps to generate employment opportunities and provide crucial updates to industrialists, aiming to set new milestones in the region’s industrial landscape.
Randeep Bhogal, the newly elected Vice Chairman, echoed Chairman Lokesh Jain’s sentiments and assured members of forthcoming initiatives geared towards enhancing the welfare of the industry in the Ludhiana region.
In conjunction with the Ludhiana Zone Annual Session, an insightful session on “Smart City – Ludhiana” was organized. Sakshi Sawhney, Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana, graced the session as the chief guest. The thought-provoking discussion delved into the future prospects and development of Ludhiana as a smart city, shedding light on innovative solutions and strategies to propel the region into a technologically advanced and sustainable future.
