The United States: Since the time world is affected by Coronavirus, we have been listening about various safety measures including wearing masks and gloves. However, a video of a nurse has gone viral on social media in which she shows how bacteria and germs can spread even after wearing gloves. The process is called ‘cross-contamination’.
The video has been shared by ABC News and the name of the nurse is Molly Lixey. This nurse from Michigan, United States elaborates on the process of cross-contamination in the video.
In the video, she says, “I am seeing a lot of people in the public wearing gloves right now. That is great. If you want to wear gloves, that is all fine and well. You absolutely can. But I want to remind you of a little thing called cross-contamination.”
In the video, she can be seen explaining how the bacteria reaches our face. She uses color to describe the whole process.
Further, she says, “There is no point in wearing gloves if you are not going to wash your hands every time you touch something. There is no point, friends. So, do whatever makes you feel safe but remember, there is some science here. Go ahead, wear your gloves, but you need to clean your hands all the time. Don’t touch your face. Don’t touch your dirty phone. Secondly, through your dirty gloves in the trash.”

She also suggests that the gloves should be disposed off properly after use and one should wash hands properly after doing this.
