Meerut: Locals shows respect to policemen, shower flowers on their vehicles amid Coronavirus lockdown

Coronavirus Lockdown: Amid the ongoing nationwide coronavirus Lockdown, people in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh showered flower petals at police vehicles as a gesture of respect for their services during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Also, the policemen were greeted with flower bouquets by the locals when they came for patrolling. A video has been posted on Twitter by news agency ANI, in which the people can be seen showering flowers on the police vehicles.

Earlier also, such cases have been seen where the public is showing respect to the police personnel or other professionals working amid the pandemic. A similar incident was reported in the Gaya district where the sanitation workers were applauded by the public for their support and work during the lockdown.

On Tuesday, the residents of the Nabha district of Punjab were also seen applauding for the sanitation workers and showering flowers on them for their job. Some people also offered garlands of currency notes to the sanitation workers.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed positive cases of Coronavirus has crossed 3,300 marks in the country. The death toll due to Coronavirus has reached 77. On the other hand, 266 people have been cured and discharged.
