Ludhiana: Punjab police officer tests positive for Coronavirus

Ludhiana, Punjab: A 52-year-old Punjab Police officer has been tested positive for Coronavirus on Monday. According to the reports, the officer was posted in Ludhiana.

KBS Sidhu, Special Chief Secretary, Punjab Disaster Management, reportedly said, “52-year-old Gazetted Officer of Punjab Police, posted in Ludhiana, tests positive. He had been unwell for the past week and has been put on a ventilator.”

According to the reports, the number of Coronavirus positive cases in Punjab stands at 171 and 13 people have died because of Coronavirus.
In Ludhiana, 2 deaths have been reported because of Coronavirus.
Mohali is the worst-hit district with 55 positive cases till April 12 and 2 deaths reported.

In India, the number of Coronavirus positive cases have crossed the 9,000 marks. According to the Union Health Ministry, 857 people have recovered and more than 300 deaths have been reported so far.
