Delhi CM announces ration for 30 lakh people not having ration cards

April 21: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday announced that the state government will provide ration to 30 lakh people in Delhi who don’t have ration cards. Earlier also, Arvind Kejriwal has announced financial assistance for Delhi’s public.

In a press conference, he also reportedly said that the state government will procure 60 new ambulances amid Coronavirus outbreak.

As many media personnel have been tested positive for Coronavirus in other states, Kejriwal also decided to start testing of the media people from Wednesday. For this purpose, a center in Delhi will set up soon, he said.

Further, he said that the government will provide 2000 coupons to each MLA, MP for distribution of food amongst the needy public. As per reports, there were 2081 Coronavirus cases in Delhi till Monday night. Out of these 431 have recovered and 47 lost their lives. There were 1,603 active cases of Coronavirus in Delhi.

Earlier he had said, “As per the instructions of the Central government, some restrictions from the lockdown can be lifted from Monday in the area which was not severely affected by Coronavirus. The central government has said that complete restrictions should be imposed in containment zones and hotspot areas.”
