The German Luxury car Manufacturer has Launched its third EV (Electric vehicle) after its e-Tron SUV and e-Tron Sportsback which were launched just a few months back. The Audi e-Tron GT Made its global debut in February 2021. And the company has decided to bring it as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) in India. The Car will be manufactured in Germany in companies Audi Bollinger Hofe facility.
Audi e-Tron GT : Powertrains
The all-new Audi e-Tron GT come in two variants –
e-Tron GT Quattro which will come with a 238Hp electric motor to the front axels and a 435Hp motor powering rear axles. Both combined produces 475 HP and 630 NM of torque which helps the car to achieve a high speed of 245KPH & 0-100 comes in 4.1 sec. However, if someone wants to go wilder with the power and speed. Audi has given them the anther option which is e-Tron GT RS. The RS produces the total output of 598 HP and 830 NM of torque which further in the BOOST mode rises to a massive 646Hp. The GT RS manages from 0 – 100 in 3.3 sec with a top speed of 250 Kph.
The Car uses the power from an 85KWH Lithium-ion Battery pack which is standard across both Trims. The company claims the range of 488 Km & 472 KM to Standard GT Quattro & the GT RS respectively.
Audi e-Tron GT : Exterior
The e-Tron is a 4 door coupe car and its exterior is made on the company EV design language as the e-Tron SUV and the sportsback. Thee-Tron panel with honeycomb pattern printed on it. Instead of regular Internal combustion cars honeycomb grill, sleek and fluidic body lines and much more. Which makes the car looks very appealing and very much EV like. While e-Tron RS has Audi’s Iconic Matrix LED headlights standard but one can have an option for these lights on the standard e-Tron.
Moving to the side – e-Tron side body lines make the car look more aerodynamic. And also make the side profile more dramatic and more the Audi like. But still on cannot differentiate it from the regular and EV Audi cars. The car runs on 19-inch wheels as standard but one has the option to increase it to 21 inches with the aero blades.
And at the rear, Audi has made a big change here. On big tail light which looks like joining the right and left light with a thin line. This change has made e-Tron to remain to look different from other regular Audi’s cars. One can notice a difference in the rear profile of a car and can recognise it as a special and different one.
The Audi e-Tron GT measures 4989mm in length, 1964mm in-breath and 1418mm in height with a total wheelbase of 2903mm. And it will be offered in a total of nine colours options.
Audi e-Tron GT: Interior
Coming to the car’s interior, the e-Tron’s interior is designed by keeping Audi’s gran Turismo (GT) in Mind. The GT line type of front seats, broad centre console, flat-bottom steering wheel, all-black interior theme. Featuring a 10.1-inch infotainment touch screen with android auto, apple car play, hotspot, navigation and a large 12.3 virtual cockpit console, both as standard.
Audi has also used the finest elements in the interior like the Dinamica Microfibre Upholstery. which makes e-Tron feel luxurious along with a sporty interior.
Well, the car comes with 3 diving modes – efficiency, dynamic and comfort according to one needs.
Audi e-Tron GT: charging options
The e-Tron is equipped with both DC as well as AC charging options. As per the company claims, that the car’s battery can be charged from 5 – 80 per cent in 9.5 hours using an 11KW AC. And 5.15 hours via a 22KW AC charger.
However, with a 270 KW DC charger, the battery can be charged from 5- 80% in less than 23 minutes.
Audi e-tron GT : Prices & Rivals
The Standard e-Tron price will start from 1.80 cr and will rise to 2.05cr (ex-showroom) to the top-spec RS version.
In addition, Audi e-Tron GT is the first car in its segment and is going stay one step above the luxury EV segment currently available in the market of other Car manufacturers like the Mercedez EQC and Jaguar I-pace. Therefore, e-Tron has now no competition. But Porche is coming with its Taycan in India in early 2022.
