His love for photography and videography is what made him reach heights of success. He says, “For me, videography has been a journey that I have enjoyed the most, without caring about the destination. Undoubtedly, I can say that it has been one of the most beautiful aspects of my life. Something that makes me complete. Something that gives me joy and a purpose to live.”
Lights, Camera, Action! This is what used to attract me
From his childhood, he was interested in this field. His love for Bollywood made him fall for videography. “Back in my school days, I was fascinated by Bollywood movies. Lights, Camera, Action! This is what used to attract me and give me goosebumps. As I grew up, my passion and love for videography also grew. I used to wonder how the whole crew on a movie set worked together to make one masterpiece.”
Though he did not take any professional education in videography and photography, his struggle and constant hard work helped him master this art. There was a time when he used to work for his friend who was a film-making student in Toronto. Arun edited different types of videos for him. “The work I did for him established the foundation of my skills.”

The story of getting GH5
Arun Luthra owns a camera that a lot of photographers dreams of having. He owns a Panasonic LUMIX GH5. However, the story of getting a GH5 is very interesting. This one, hehas literally receivd because of his good work.
He tells, “I shot a wedding of one of my colleagues. Instead of giving me a paycheck, he bought me a brand new GH5. That was my first milestone as a videographer as I shot the whole event alone. I was overwhelmed.”
First attempt in photography
Initially, Arun Luthra did not start his career as a photographer. His focus was just on creating great videos. He did not know much about photography.
“I tried my hands in photography for the first time in a wedding ceremony. What happened was that a photographer ditched my colleague and refused to cover the event at the last moment. So, he asked me for help. At that time, I had no idea of camera settings. So, I just shot the whole event on aperture mode. However, I was able to make my colleague’s clients happy and gave them memories for a lifetime.”
Since his first successful project, Arun has not looked back. He has worked hard to improve his skills every day. Undoubtedly, his hard work and consistency have paid off and he has become one of the best wedding photographers in the business. With all his expertise and grit, he creates magic. He aims to provide his clients with memories for a lifetime.
