Delhi, December 11, 2023 – Titiksha Public School witnessed a thrilling display of skill and determination as the Interschool SQAY Martial Art Championship 2023-24 unfolded on December 10, 2023. The event drew 430 participants from 9 districts of Delhi, turning the school into a battleground for martial arts enthusiasts from across the region.

The championship was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Padmabhushan Mahabali Satpal Ji, a legendary figure in the martial arts world. The Guest of Honor, Luv Sehrawat, added to the prestige of the event with their presence, encouraging participants and personally presenting medals to the deserving winners.

The highlight of the evening was the felicitation of Harshita Kaushik, a force to be reckoned with in the martial arts community. Holding a Black Belt of 6th Dan, she boasts an impressive 37th National Games Gold Medal and has secured international honours three times. Kaushik was honoured with the prestigious Rank 1 Player Trophy, recognising her outstanding achievements and contributions to the sport.

Several other martial artists were recognised for their dedication and skill, with Master Karan Dutt receiving the Black Belt 7th Dan, Suman Rulania honoured with Black Belt 5th Dan, and Drishti Malik recognised with Black Belt 1st Dan. These awards underscore the significant accomplishments of these martial artists.

In a crucial announcement, selected players from the championship will have the honor of representing Team Delhi at the 24th National SQAY Martial Art Championship 2023-24 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This opportunity will allow these athletes to showcase their prowess at the national level.

Master Devender Gaur, the Organising Chairman of the SQAY Martial Art Championship, expressed his satisfaction, stating, “Overall, the event was a grand success. The level of skill and sportsmanship displayed by the participants was truly commendable. We are proud to have hosted such a prestigious championship that not only promotes martial arts but also serves as a platform for athletes to shine and take their talent to the national stage.” The event has left a lasting mark on the martial arts community, fostering a spirit of competition and camaraderie among participants.
