Usually, this E-pass is issued to the people indulged in providing essential services. But in case of emergency, this E-pass can be issued.
This E-pass contains certain information like your name, address, contact details, the purpose of travel, the validity of e-pass, and other such details. Also, the number of passengers accompanying the driver are also mentioned in the details.
The local authorities strictly validate the authenticity and other things before they issue the E-pass.
Also, the people who habe E-pass are allowed to travel. One need to keep the E-pass’ copy with oneself as it need to be showed to the police or other authorities if they ask for it.

HOW CAN WE GET THE E-PASS?
For that, there are certain steps which need to be followed.
- First of all, you have to visit the official website of the state or union territory you live in.
- Once you open the website, you need to open the ‘apply E-pass’ tab on the website. There you need to fill the basic detaisl like your name, contact number, address, vehicle registration number, purpose of your travel and more.
- After that, you need to attach the copies of the documents asked. Then your application for E-pass will be sent.
- You will receive a message once your application is registered and then you will get your E-pass.
