One local legend is the ‘weather stone’ in a small shrine above the village. The locals believe that if you turn it clockwise, it will start raining. If turned anti-clockwise, the rain will stop.
Darchik in Ladakh
Darchik village is a part of what is popularly known as Aryan Valley in Ladakh. The residents of the villages of the Aryan valley are believed to be the descendants of Alexander the Great.
