Khajjiar- Himachal Pradesh

The dense deodar forest and the views of the snow-covered Kailash are the center of attraction in Khajjiar. People call it the Gulmarg of Himachal and mini Switzerland. Chamba, Dalhousie, and Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary treks will amaze you.

Kalap- Uttarakhand

To reach this beautiful village, there are also 2 trek routes, depending on the season. The summer route is 8 km, which is about 6 hours of walking. The winter route is 5 km, which is about 4 hours of walking.
One local legend is the ‘weather stone’ in a small shrine above the village. The locals believe that if you turn it clockwise, it will start raining. If turned anti-clockwise, the rain will stop. 

Darchik in Ladakh

Darchik village is a part of what is popularly known as Aryan Valley in Ladakh. The residents of the villages of the Aryan valley are believed to be the descendants of Alexander the Great. So, they are classified as Pure Blood Aryans. It was also rumoured that European girls used to come here to make babies with the local guys and take them back to their country.

Lamayuru in Ladakh

This place has one of the oldest monasteries In the world. It was a lake initially and became a village once dried up. In Lamayuru, one must visit a ‘lunar’ landscape. The locals promote it as ‘moonscape’ for tourists because of its incredible yet odd geographical formations.

Varanga in Karnataka

Varanga village in Karnataka is a popular pilgrimage centre for Jains. The village is the house of some of the oldest Jain Temples, also known as Basadis. Neminatha Basadi, Kera Basadi, Chandranatha Basadi are the most popular ones. Kera Basadi is a temple that is located in the middle of the river. The only way to visit the temple is through a boat.

Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh

Undoubtedly, Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh is a heaven for adventure freaks. The scenic beauty of the rice fields, exotic hills and bamboo forests, will amaze you. When in Ziro, one must visit the Tally Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to majestic leopards. Other than that, Ziro is famous for its tribal heritage. Mawlynnong in Meghalaya

Mawlynnong is “God’s Own Garden. It is known as the cleanest village in entire Asia. When in Mawlynnong, you must visit the bridge which is completely made of the roots of the trees. Also, the literacy rate of the village is 100 percent. You should also visit the Sacred Forest of the village and the Sky Walk bridge.

Kalpa in Himachal Pradesh

It is situated in the Kinnaur district. Kalpa very is a beautiful tiny village where you will find houses and buildings made of wood. The green cover of the village will amaze you. There are a lot of temples to visit in the village. The apple orchards, monasteries, and beautiful mountains of Kailash attract tourists to Kalpa.
