New Delhi: Demonstrating their commitment to environmental conservation, NCC cadets of Titiksha Public School, Rohini, successfully organized the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Campaign at Metro Walk, Rohini, and the school campus. The initiative encouraged citizens to plant trees in honour of their mothers while spreading awareness about sustainable living and environmental responsibility.

Conducted under the guidance of Second Officer Monica Sharma, the campaign combined environmental education with community participation, inspiring students, parents, and the public to contribute towards a greener future.

Cadets Present Saplings to Mothers as a Symbol of Love and Responsibility

As part of the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Campaign, around 80 NCC cadets presented saplings to mothers and encouraged them to plant and nurture a tree in their mother’s name. The symbolic gesture highlighted the strong bond between motherhood and nature while promoting the importance of increasing green cover.

To reinforce the campaign’s message, cadets wore specially designed headgear and Green Ambassador badges, creating awareness among visitors about protecting the environment through simple yet meaningful actions.

The event also recognised mothers for their contribution towards nurturing responsible citizens by honouring them with “Green Mom” and “Super Mom” badges.

Quiz, Nukkad Natak and Poetry Inspire Environmental Awareness
The Campaign featured several engaging activities designed to educate and inspire participants about environmental conservation.
Students actively participated in an environmental quiz that tested their knowledge of sustainability and ecological practices. A powerful Nukkad Natak (street play) conveyed the urgent need for tree plantation, responsible waste management, and reducing plastic pollution. The programme also included an inspiring poetry recitation celebrating nature and encouraging every citizen to become an active protector of the environment.
These activities successfully connected with audiences of all age groups and strengthened the campaign’s message of environmental responsibility.
