NCC Cadets Celebrate International Yoga Day

New Delhi, June 21, 2026: Marking the spirit of wellness and discipline, NCC cadets of Titiksha Public School, Rohini, under the aegis of 5 Delhi Girls Battalion NCC, enthusiastically participated in the International Yoga Day 2026 celebrations held at Shivaji Cricket Ground, Delhi Cantonment.

The large-scale event brought together nearly 1,500 NCC cadets from various schools and colleges representing different NCC units across Delhi. Among them, a contingent of 100 girl cadets from Titiksha Public School impressed the audience with synchronized yoga asanas, creative formations, and group postures, showcasing the significance of physical fitness, discipline, and mental well-being.

Senior NCC dignitaries graced the occasion, including Group Commander Brigadier P. S. ChhonkarMajor Hricha, Administrative Officer of 5 Delhi Girls Battalion, along with the Commanding Officers of 6 Delhi Battalion and 7 Delhi Girls Battalion, unit Subedar Majors (SMs), Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), PI Staff, teachers, and cadets from participating institutions.

The cadets displayed remarkable coordination and dedication during their yoga performances and received appreciation from NCC officials and attendees. The programme highlighted the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and reinforced the message of incorporating yoga into daily life for holistic development.

Speaking on the occasion, NCC officials emphasized that yoga plays a vital role in nurturing a healthy, disciplined, and resilient youth population. They encouraged young people to make yoga an integral part of their daily routine to enhance both physical and mental well-being.

The celebrations concluded with a collective pledge by the cadets to continue practicing yoga regularly and spread awareness about its numerous benefits among society.
