Coronavirus effect on entrance exams| JEE Main, NEET, and other exams postponed| Updates


Coronavirus: In the view of the nationwide situation engendered by the outbreak of the Coronavirus, several entrance exams have been postponed. The Engineering exam JEE Main was earlier scheduled to take place on April 3 has been put on hold amid the national lockdown.

At the same time, there is no update even on the National Council Hotel Management JEE admission test. As per the exam calendar, the exam is scheduled to be held on April 25 and admits cards are expected to be issued on April 01.

Other than this, the medical entrance exam NEET was expected to be held on May 3 but according to the recent reports, the authorities might reschedule and hold the dates as of now.

Moreover, the admit card for the NEET exam was supposed to release tomorrow but reports claim that issuance won’t take place and the exam is likely to be postponed. However, there is no official announcement clarifying the same.

The JNU entrance test and application process for the ICAR entrance exam will end on March 31. The exams are supposed to happen in April and May respectively.

The Education Ministry has asked CBSE, NIOS, and NTA to work on the revised schedule of examinations. Also, it said that the autonomous bodies and NCERT must draft alternate academic calendars.

The National Testing Agency conducted the entrance exams at level 10+2. Till now, the agency has only conducted the first JEE main.

Along with that, they also conducted CMAT and GPAT for the present academic admission. According to the exam calendar, the registration process for the Delhi University entrance examination test, AIAPGET is supposed to begin in April.

The HRD Ministry said earlier this week that the revised date of the exams is going to announce as soon as the condition gets better. The upcoming dates of the exams have to be scheduled in a way that the entrance exams do not clash with the pending board exams. Otherwise, it will be inconvenient for the students to appear for the exams.
