Hero DMC Heart Institute Organizes Health Awareness Camp at Saras Mela 2025


Ludhiana, Punjab: The Hero DMC Heart Institute, in collaboration with the District Administration, Ludhiana, organized a Health Awareness Camp during Saras Mela 2025 at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) from October 4 to October 15, 2025.

This 12-day public health drive was part of the institute’s flagship programme — “Mission Swasth Kavach”. The initiative aims to promote preventive healthcare and teach life-saving skills to the community.

Promoting Preventive Health Through “Mission Swasth Kavach”

Led by Dr. Bishav Mohan, Chief Cardiologist at Hero DMC Heart Institute, the camp offered free health check-ups, including blood pressure and sugar screenings.
Doctors also shared valuable advice on heart disease prevention, CPR techniques, and healthy lifestyle habits.

Dr. Mohan highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and lifestyle management.

“Our mission goes beyond treatment. Through Mission Swasth Kavach, we want every individual to become health-aware and heart-safe,”
said Dr. Bishav Mohan.

Part of Saras Mela 2025 – A Celebration of Culture and Health

Saras Mela 2025 began under the leadership of Sh. Sanjeev Arora, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister from Ludhiana. The event beautifully combined culture, crafts, cuisine, and community health.

Strong support came from Sh. Himanshu Jain, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, and Sh. Amarjit Singh Bains, Additional Deputy Commissioner.
Thanks to their efforts, the health camp drew a large number of visitors and families from across the region.

Over the 12 days, hundreds of people benefited from the camp. Many received free consultations and screenings, while others learned simple habits to maintain good heart health.

The camp helped bridge the gap between medical experts and the public.
